Dutch Barista Championship: Preliminary Round

Participants: to be announced in mid-November (maximum of 12 participants).
Four exceptional espressos, four delicious milk-based drinks and four signature drinks, all presented within 15 minutes to an international panel of judges. Finalists: to be announced after Monday’s preliminary round.

Dutch Brewers Cup Open Service: Preliminary Round
When: Wednesday, 13 January 2027
Participants: to be announced in mid-November (maximum of 16 participants).
Impress the judges with a superb pour-over coffee! This competition consists of 2 rounds: a compulsory round and an open round. In the compulsory round, the participant is given an unknown coffee shortly before the competition begins. It’s up to him or her to brew this coffee to perfection using a brewing method of their own choosing. In the open round (the final), participants can really let their creativity run wild when it comes to the coffee and presentation. In this round, you get to choose the coffee variety, brewing method, and preparation style entirely on your own. With plenty of practice beforehand and a confident presentation, this is the perfect moment to score points.
Dutch Brewers Cup Final & Dutch Latte Art Championship Final
When: Thursday, 14 January 2027
Finalists: to be announced after Wednesday’s preliminary rounds.
Dutch Brewers Cup:
Impress the judges with a superb pour-over coffee! This competition consists of 2 rounds: a compulsory round and an open round. In the compulsory round, the participant is given an unknown coffee shortly before the competition begins. It’s up to him or her to brew this coffee to perfection using a brewing method of their own choosing. Dutch Latte Art:
Can you wow a trained panel of judges with your unique latte art creation in 11 minutes? Then the latte art championship is definitely for you! In the final, a participant pours six drinks: two sets of identical free-pour lattes and one set of identical designer lattes (for which they may use “edging” and food coloring, among other techniques).
The judges evaluate, among other things, whether the latte art is identical, creative, and has contrast, and they also assess the overall performance.
