From Monday 12 January to Thursday 15 January 2026, various teams will once again compete in the Dutch Cooking Championships organized by Stichting Kookwedstrijden (Cooking Competition Foundation). During the various competitions, you will see, smell, and experience how (star) chefs and their brigades create spectacular dishes. Working from a black box, which contains (mandatory) ingredients for each course, they will show you what is possible with beautiful products, good teamwork, and knowledge. A spectacle not to be missed!

HANOS Gouden Koksmuts

Monday 12 januari 2026, 10:00 - 17:30

The HANOS Golden Chef's Hat competition takes place every year during Horecava in a spectacular setting in the Gilde Arena. The enthusiastic participants cook various dishes using a black box, which contains different (mandatory) ingredients for each course. The winning team not only takes home the coveted title, but also some great prizes. Who will follow in the footsteps of Restaurant MAEVE*, winner of the HANOS Golden Chef's Hat 2024?

Chaud Devant Dutch Championship teach master-student

Tuesday 13 januari 2026, 10:00 - 17:00 

Which enthusiastic Master-Apprentice duo will match the performance of last year's winners, Kay Stevense and Gijs Boender from Hotel Restaurant 't Lansink*? Which top team of an Apprentice and a Master can handle the time pressure and work together perfectly to prepare the best three-course menu and an amuse-bouche for six people?

Green Chefs Hat

Wednesday 14 januari 2026, 10:00 - 17:00

Together with We're Smart Green Guide, the Gastronomisch Gilde is organizing a plant-based cooking competition: the Green Chef's Hat. The plant-based sector is booming, making this competition a logical addition to the range of events on offer. The challenge for participants will be to prepare entirely plant-based dishes for the jury using ingredients from the black box. The assignment consists of a starter, an intermediate course, and an amuse-bouche for six people.

 

Open Nederlands Kampioenschap Koken

Thursday 15 januari 2026, 10:00 - 16:30 

Since the last edition, the Gastronomisch Gilde has revived an old competition: the Dutch Championship Cooking. During this individual competition, six chefs compete against each other for the win. The participants prepare a three-course menu for six people from a black box that has been put together in collaboration with the Gastronomic Guild's partners.
