The Tastiest Competitions
The Dutch Championship for the tastiest competitions, organized by Stichting de Lekkerste Wedstrijden, will once again bring together a series of exciting national professional competitions from Monday, January 12, to Thursday, January 15, 2026. Culinary professionals from the industry will compete against each other in eight different categories, with creativity, craftsmanship, and taste experience taking center stage.
The competitions showcases the versatility of the Dutch hospitality industry and contributes to a positive image of the sector as an attractive employer. The competitions provide a platform for culinary talent and stimulate innovation: participants are challenged to demonstrate innovative flavor combinations and preparation methods, while visitors can enjoy the creations live. The competitions
Dutch Tastiest Sandwich competition
Give your business and your confidence a boost and register for the most famous and longest-running competition. This year, the Dutch Tastiest Sandwich competition is celebrating its 40th anniversary! To be in with a chance of winning this title, appearance, creativity, taste experience, edibility, flavor composition, and purchase price are important factors in convincing the expert jury.
Dutch Tastiest Burger competition
Can you present a burger with the best meat, the tastiest toppings, the creamiest sauces, and the most flavorful bun? The Dutch Tastiest Burger competition is all about one thing: making the very best hamburger in the Netherlands. Will you blow the jury away with an enormous explosion of flavor? Dutch Tastiest Pasta competition
The Tastiest Pasta compatition will be held for the third time next year. Are you a talented pasta lover and do you think you can impress the jury with your (homemade) pasta? Then grab this opportunity to put yourself in the spotlight!
Dutch Pizza Baking competition
In collaboration with Pizza Profs, we are searching for the best pizza in the Netherlands. Which pizza is ready for the general public and who bakes the most creative, healthy, and delicious pizza? This year's theme is ‘Pizza Nova’, a journey into innovative pizza bases and surprising toppings that push culinary boundaries.
Deliciously Different
The ‘different’ nature of this competition lies in the fact that this category is specifically intended for hospitality staff with an occupational disability. But the creations are certainly no different. Creativity and precision are particularly striking in this competition!
Dutch Loaded Fries competition
The concept of Loaded Fries is becoming increasingly popular in the Netherlands and is finding its way onto the menus of many restaurants. All kinds of combinations involving fries, toppings, sauces, textures, and ingredients are available—you name it, they've got it.
Dutch Tastiest Pancake competition
Pancake lovers and bakers, take note! Chefs from pancake restaurants across the Netherlands will be serving up delicious, exciting, and original creations. In addition to being judged by a professional jury, the pancakes will also be evaluated by a children's jury.
