It started all in 2014. At that time, the cheesecake was emerging in the market. Everyone knew it but ate it at home or ate at a few restaurants. After research, we came up with the idea of taking a step in importing the cheesecakes of The Cheesecake Factory Bakery® and selling it on the Dutch market. This has led us to distribute the cheesecakes of The Cheesecake Factory Bakery® throughout Europe. Now everyone in Europe can enjoy the famous cheesecakes of The Cheesecake Factory Bakery®. Because we are unique to these cheesecakes, we distinguish ourselves as the specialist of these desserts for foodservice and retail. We make these desserts even more unique and innovative for a special moment. We do this together with our partners Ghirardelli®, Dobla® and Villeroy & Boch®.
The Cheesecake Factory® story begins in Detroit, Michigan in the 1940s. Evelyn Overton found a recipe in a local newspaper inspired her “Original” Cheesecake. In 1972, Evelyn and her husband opened their latest savings, The Cheesecake Factory Bakery®. Through hard work and determination, their business grew very fast and they could offer a wide range of more than 30 different varieties of cheesecakes and other desserts. With foresighted eyesight and intuition, their son David decided to open a restaurant to present his mother’s range of cheesecakes. Somehow he knew that his guests would enjoy a restaurant with a wide range of desserts. In 1978 he opened the first The Cheesecake Factory® restaurant in Beverly Hills, CA. The restaurant was immediately a success and now there are almost 208 The Cheesecake Factory® restaurants around the world that share the Overton’s quality and spirit of innovation with others.
