Information about Horecava

The Horecava is an annual exhibition for professionals in the food industry. Horecava 2013 will be held at Amsterdam RAI from Monday 7 to Thursday 10 January. With 550 unique exhibitors the exhibition offers visitors a broad program, network possibilities and many practical tips. Furthermore, there will be diverse theme worlds where visitors can be inspired by various activities.
 

Conscious entrepreneurship

Horecava 2013 is based on conscious entrepreneurship and therefore presents the theme world “PUUR”. PUUR has derived from current trends in the food industry. Nowadays food is expected to be fresh, biologic, sustainable, fair trade and healthy.

Besides PUUR you will find the theme worlds:

  • NACHTLEVEN
    In this theme world the latest music, liquor, lighting and equipment trends for pubs, bars and clubs will be exposed.
  • HOTEL
    This theme world is intended as network lounge where visitors can be inspired by the latest trends and developments in the hotel industry.
  • FASTSERVICE
    In this theme world all diverse fast service companies and their suppliers will be connected.
  • TERRAS
    This theme world is an inspiration for the new terrace season, whereby the current terrace season extends into the winter season. By extending the terrace season, more profit can be generated.
  • INNOVEER
    Visitors can experience new trends and innovations within the food industry. Furthermore, there will be 16 organizations that will actively take part and present their innovative products for the nomination of the Horecava Innovation Award 2013.


Trend cinemas

During the Horecava 2013 there will be trend cinemas in the theme worlds PUUR, NACHTLEVEN, HOTEL and TERRAS. These movies will provide the visitor with new ideas, trends and information of the industry.
 

The 13th Horecava Innovation Award

Innovation is the keyword of the Horecava. The Horecava emphasizes on innovation, by yearly distributing the Horecava Innovation Award to the organization with the best innovative product in the industry. On the first day of the Horecava the 4 category winners as well as the overall winner will be announced at INNOVEER.

 

Admission/ opening hours

Monday 7 to Thursday 10 January 2013 from 11.00 am until 18.00 pm. The basic admission charge for the exhibition is 50,00 euro per person. Click here to register. If you register before the 1st of January 2013 you will receive 15,00 euro discount. The minimum age is 18 years. By purchasing an entrance ticket for the Horecava, it is required to provide your Chamber of Commerce number.

Traveling by train to Amsterdam RAI
Reduced NS fares for traveling by train in the Netherlands. As a Horecava visitor traveling in the Netherlands you can buy a single NS return ticket (on ONE DAY SPECIFIC) for 2nd class from any NS railwaystation in the Netherlands to Amsterdam RAI and vice versa for € 7.50. Please note that pre-registration is required to use this service.
